Yoga & Meditation Day, Kensington
February 23 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Spend a day relaxing and rejuvenating the body and mind.
Our one day courses are an introduction to the techniques that we teach in more depth at weekend courses, workshops and retreats. Each one day course has a balance of meditation, gentle postural yoga and breathing techniques.
An opportunity to learn and practice Virat Dharana meditation.
The day is designed to de-stress, detox, release and restore as we practice Yoga with gentleness and compassion. This course will integrate various aspects of Yoga for complete wellbeing and will be enjoyed by those who wish to practice in a holistic, authentic and integrated way.
Sunday 23rd February 2020
The Bhavan (5 mins from West Kensington tube) is a pleasant, relaxing space.
The course will be taught by two qualified yoga and meditation teachers
Christoph Heintzeler & Flavia Munn
Meditation audios guided by Dr. Kumar are at the heart of the course, drawing on his profound knowledge of meditation, his guidance connects us to the purity of the original teachings.
Suitable for beginners and as a refresher for those who have already learned.
Recordings will be provided for home practice.
The day will include:
- Virat Dharana meditation. A deeply relaxing way to bring the mind and body to a peaceful and harmonious state through a meditation practiced lying down, guided by Dr Kumar in a style of Sanskrit chanting known as ‘sound of silence’.
- Gentle stretching and movement of the body through the practice of restorative postures.
- Pranayama breathing with deep inhalation and exhalation, directing the breath to every cell in the body through a sequence of simple but powerful exercises.
- Introduction to meditation on the natural breath.
