Easter Meditation Retreat in East Sussex
April 18 @ 6:00 pm - April 23 @ 9:00 am
Experience the tranquility of a four day silent meditation course this Easter.
This retreat offers a unique opportunity for an immersive experience of meditation, expertly guided and facilitated for a small group of 12 people.
This is an excellent first retreat for those who have attended a weekend course, eight week course or teacher training and would like to experience the quality of meditation that can be reached when practicing in a sustained way and in ‘noble silence’. This immersive course will deepen your practice and develop it further with longer meditations and guidance that cultivates a more advanced stage of practice than on weekend courses. The silence will nourish and support the practice, allowing the mind to quieten and to draw the awareness within. A strong sense of connectedness develops through group practice and shared silence. The silence will be introduced and explained, beginning after everyone has settled in and met each other.
If you are new to meditation, this course is an opportunity to learn to meditate on the natural breath.
The course will be conducted using guided meditation recordings by Dr. Kumar and facilitated by an experienced meditation teacher. Each student will have the opportunity to be individually mentored on the course. Using carefully sequenced recordings, participants will experience the depth of meditating with Dr. Kumar’s voice and guidance. Dr. Kumar draws on his own vast knowledge of yoga to guide us through every step of the technique.
The meditation practice bathes the mind and frees it from the accumulated reactions leaving the mind lighter, clearer and more peaceful.
The retreat is four days and five nights.
