Learn how to observe the natural breath in order to experience inner peace and to change negative thought patterns.
The purpose of technique, referred to by Patanjali as Prana Samyama, is to bring balance and harmony to the mind. In the long term it has the power to transform negative mind patterns leading to profound peace and happiness. Meditation on the natural breath is central to Yoga and Buddhist systems, as well as to contemporary mindfulness models.
The course offers the opportunity to learn and practice the technique in a focused and sustained way over 8 weeks with the support of an experienced and certified Traditional Yoga teacher to guide you through the progressive stages and answer any questions that may arise. It is taught in the tradition of Patanjali, through a series of guided meditations by Dr. Kumar, maintaining a direct link to the original instructions and scriptures in which they have been preserved for centuries.
Suitable for anyone over the age of 15 who wishes to learn a truly transformative meditation technique.
Anna has been practicing meditation under the guidance of ALV Kumar since 2009. During this time, she has attended intensive meditation retreats in the UK which have enabled her to establish a strong meditation practice. She is now very happy to share her knowledge of the teachings with others.
Anna is a certified Raja Yoga Teacher with Traditional Yoga Healing Foundation. She is also a spiritual and holistic companion for the dying. Her practice includes reiki healing. Anna also facilitates kids and families yoga and mindfulness sessions in schools and community groups and teaches Biodanza to families, adults and children. She has an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Fine Art from Cardiff and Falmouth.
