Yoga means unity. At a time of imbalance and disharmony in the world, how can the wisdom of yoga be applied to bring harmony to the individual, to society and to the world?

Dr. Kumar will introduce the ethical principles of yoga, and discuss how particular types of meditation offer a practical, secular method to transform the mind to experience deep and lasting  inner peace.

“Yoga means getting on well with everything in life, getting on well with the food we eat, the air we breathe, the environment we live in, the people we live with and the work we do.”-Dr Kumar

Dr  Kumar is an authority on the science of yoga and its diverse traditions and systems, an inspirational meditation teacher and an award-winning scientist. His teaching is informed by his extensive experiential and theoretical knowledge, developed through his education in more than 37 schools of Hatha yoga and 50 traditions of meditation and progressed through decades of self-practice. He has brought the mental and physical health benefits of yoga and meditation to hundreds of thousands of people in India, UK and US.

Each year Dr. Kumar conducts a series of large scale free yoga and health awareness workshops in public parks and outdoor spaces in Hyderabad. These are attended by thousands of people wishing to improve their health, well-being and to learn how to make improvements to their diet as the incidents of heart disease, hypertension and diabetes have raised sharply in India in the recent years. Dr. Kumar has taught over 100,000 people in India as a public service. The Yoga Healing Foundation was established to support his work in the UK and India.

Dr Kumar teaches that a correct understanding of yoga methodologies can lead to realising ones’ true potential to become a successful human, a happy human and a good human. He explains how training the mind, not only helps us to be more efficient in our work but it creates an unparalleled level of peace within by balancing various neurotransmitters and hormones that govern our emotions, to promote positive mental and emotional wellbeing.

“When we clear the clouds that are fogging the mind, a sun comes out”

Weekend Meditation Course in Geneva, 22nd & 23rd June 2019

Yoga is the complete science of body and mind to establish health, well-being and peace with ourselves and others. Meditation is an ancient science, structured and precise. Rooted in the traditions from which contemporary models of mindfulness arise, the techniques taught on this course are secular and scientific, yet grounded in the spiritual values and ethics that underpin strong practice.

The meditation involves observation of the natural breath.
